Ruthie May Hawkes, 45 of New Oxford, PA died suddenly on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born June 28, 1972 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Clemente Andujar, Sr. of Hanover, PA and Edith (Zirk) Valentin of New Oxford, PA.
Ruthie served as a waitress at several local restaurants for many years. She enjoyed her family, camping, taking cruises and watching safari adventures.
In addition to her parents, Ruthie is survived by her children; Billy A. Shirley, Jr. and wife Amber of Hanover, Eric S. Shirley of Palmyra, PA and Dakota M. Shirley of New Oxford, grandson, Lincoln James Shirley, step-father, German Valentin, Sr., 5 siblings; Jose Andugar, Jennifer Flores, Joseph Valentin, Josh Valentin and German Valentin, Jr. Ruthie was predeceased by a daughter, Tanica May Shirley and a brother Clemente Andujar, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:00 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA with Pastor Raymand McGee, officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
