
Obituary for Salvatore F. Prezioso
Salvatore F. Prezioso, 68, 64 SW Confederate Avenue, Gettysburg, PA died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, York, PA.
He was born April 10, 1950 in Newark, NJ the son of the late Salvatore V. and Angelina Sgobbo Prezioso. He is survived by his wife, Gail McCord Prezioso, two daughters; Kelly Prezioso Moon and her husband Tony of Davenport, FL, Elizabeth “Beth” Prezioso of Davenport, FL, and a granddaughter, Emma Moon.
Sal was a graduate of Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He began his career in the travel industry in college then following graduation he took a job with Mexicana Airlines and later Eastern Airlines out of Newark International Airport. He then was transferred to Michigan for the next 20 years. He became the Vice President of Thomas Cook Travel and later Sky Travel in charge of travel sales and special projects. Sal enjoyed photography, collecting stamp and coins and collecting sports memorabilia. He was also an avid traveler who always enjoyed food and wine on his trips.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 AM with Fr. Daniel Mitzel celebrant. Interment will in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
