Obituary for Sharon E. Hudson
Sharon E. Hudson, 73, of Gettysburg, PA passed away peacefully at home, Thursday evening, November 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 10, 1944 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late John “Dutch” Elmer and Ruth Leona (LeHew) Wilson. She was the loving wife of William G. Hudson Sr, of Gettysburg to whom she was married to for 37 years.
Sharon was a member of Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, Gettysburg. She enjoyed working at Random House for 15 years and four years at Master Brand. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her warm smile and kind heart will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her three children, John J. Killen, III and his wife Sandra, of Quitman, Miss., William G. Hudson, Jr. and his wife Alyson, of New Oxford, PA, Robin Summer and her husband Larry Fritz, Jr., of Fairfield, PA, nine grandchildren, April, Don, Angel, Travis, Brianne, Sierra, Alissa, Brandi, T.J., seven great grandchildren, Leland, Slaton, Easton, A.J., Jordan, Braiden, Savannah, her sister, Gail McIntire and her husband Clyde, of Lambertville, MI, her niece, Robin, and her two nephews, Rick and Rafe.
A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm with the service immediately following at the Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, 1865 Knoxlyn Rd., Gettysburg, PA with Sean Fitzgerald officiating.
