Obituary for Sheila M. Howes
Sheila M. Howes, 81, 812 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg, PA died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born May 15, 1936 in Bethesda, MD the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Hanlon Monaghan. Sheila’s husband James Henry Howes died in 1985.
Mrs. Howes enjoyed her time in the Gettysburg area particularly living in the Lake Heritage Community and loved her home on the lake. She also volunteered at the Gettysburg Library System.
Sheila is survived by her children; Jane Strickland of Canandaigua, NY, Philip Howes of Gettysburg, PA, Keith Howes and his wife Alba of Ashburn, VA, Carol Rhodes and her husband Kevin of Wellington, FL, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Kuchinski officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Well Span Healthcare, 147 Gettys Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
