Obituary for Shirley A. Gladfelter
Shirley A. Gladfelter, 75, of Gettysburg, PA died Thursday evening, April 12, 2018 at her home.
Born February 19, 1943 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late David Thurston and Annie Mae (Baxley) Davis. She was the wife of the late Ronald E. Gladfelter, Sr. who died July 1, 2012.
Shirley was a waitress at The Avenue Restaurant in Gettysburg for many years before it’s closing. She loved attending church most recently at the Freedom Valley Worship Center and enjoyed being around people, especially her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The thing she looked forward to the most was holiday dinners with her family.
Shirley is survived by her three sons, Andrew Luckett, of Gettysburg, PA, Ronald Gladfelter, Jr., of Waynesboro, PA, Daniel Gladfelter, of Gettysburg, PA, 10 grandchildren, Amanda Luckett, Jayne Luckett, Bambi Sue Riefsnider, Rebecka Leasure, David Gladfelter, Ronald Gladfelter, III, William Gladfelter, Kristina, Colon, Joshua Gladfelter, Brittany Gladfelter, 15 great grandchildren, Kalie Luckett, Kairi Pratt, Oakley Reifsnider, Silas Reifsnider, Kaiya Dow, Isaiah Colon, Owen Colon, Braydon Gladfelter, McKayla Gladfelter, Sophia Leasure, Scarlet Gladfleter, Colbie Kraft, Malachi Kraft, Maliah Kraft, Daniel Kraft, and four sisters, Kate Collison, Betty Kemper, JoLynn Stottlemyer, and Sally, Dajero. She was preceded in death by four siblings, William Davis, David Davis and Nita Mae, and Peggy Welty.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg with Rev. Dale Welty officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the services Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
