Tenny M. Waddell, 94 of Gettysburg, PA died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at SpiriTrust Lutheran – The Village at Gettysburg.
Born in Roanoke, VA on March 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Claude W. & Stella R. (Bennett) Martz. Tenny was predeceased by her husband, Charles P. Waddell, who died in 2002.
She was a member of the Gettysburg United Methodist Church and had volunteered for several years at the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen. Tenny is survived by her two daughters; Shelby L. Pentz and husband Donald of Carlisle, PA and Karen W. Helwig of Gettysburg , three granddaughters; Sherri L. Hansen and husband Andrew, Shelley L. Warfield and husband Charles and Tara A. Helwig, two great grandsons; Charles Warfield, III and Curtis Warfield, two brothers; Buford B. Martz and John J. Martz both of Live Oak, FL, a niece, Iris A. Tozzolo and husband Thomas and a nephew, John Steven Gary Martz. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred L. Rogers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Stephen Herr officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. Online tributes and condolences can be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
