Obituary for Virgil C. King
Virgil C. King, 59 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 surrounded by his family at the home of his mother in Biglerville, PA.
Virgil was born August 3, 1958 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Mary Alice King and the late Coy King, Sr.
He attended Brownsville Church of God in Fayetteville, PA with his family. Virgil enjoyed playing cards, traveling, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers and his frequent trips to the Gettysburg 7-11 store. The time he spent with his family was very important to Virgil and he will be missed by all.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters; Veronica Holmes and husband Dove and Donna D. Burrell both of Biglerville, two brothers; Coy King, Jr. and wife Lisa and Roderick D. King both of Harrisburg, PA, his companion, Gail Woodall of Gettysburg, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Virgil was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jean King and a brother, Christopher Blake King, Sr.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Brownsville Church of God, 6390 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA with Pastor Victor Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. A Viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 924 North Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
