Obituary for Walter F. Perry
Walter F. Perry, 89, of Fairfield, PA died Monday morning, March 29, 2021 at the Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital Camp Hill, PA.
Born July 12, 1931 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Oliver W. and Marietta (Norris) Perry. He was the husband of Mary L. (Schiappa) Perry, of Fairfield, PA to whom he was married 46 years.
Walter was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving four years. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force serving for 16 years. After his discharge, Walter worked as a computer analyst for the CIA and Hughes Technical Services Corporation. He was proud of his service to our country and deeply honored to have been recognized with numerous awards.
In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his three sons, John Farrell and his wife Kymberly, of Woodbridge, VA, Jim Farrell and his wife Kim, of Mount Pleasant, SC, Frank Perry, of Fairfield, PA, four grandchildren, Kylie Farrell, Molly Farrell, Michael Farrell, Jennifer Kennedy, seven great grandchildren, Alex, Drakeston, Oliver, Lane, Jack, Maggie and Stella, and one brother, Wendell Perry. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Barrett.
A Celebration of Walter’s Life will be held at 10:30 AM on May 15, 2021 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 121 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA. Military honors will be observed. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
