Obituary for Wanda Faye Nelson Carroll
Wanda Faye Nelson Carroll, 55, of Gettysburg, PA died Friday afternoon, February 7, 2020 at her home in Gettysburg.
Born July 30, 1964 in Westminster, MD she was the daughter of Doris (Long) Mancini, of Gettysburg and the late Richard Nelson.
Wanda was a certified nursing assistant formerly working at the Golden Living Center, in Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. In her free time she loved riding motorcycles, and was a member of the Eagle Riders, she enjoyed camping and cooking, even writing her own cookbook. However her true love was her family.
In addition to her mother, Wanda is survived by her two children, Aleisha Carroll, of Hanover, PA, George Carroll, IV, of Gettysburg, PA, her granddaughter, Adelina Leon, her brother Rick Nelson and his wife Laurie, of Hanover, PA, her step sister, Melanie Fisher and her husband Brian, her nephew, Travis Nelson, her niece, Casie Borie and her husband Rob, and her grand nieces and nephews, Savanah, Paxton, and Cordelia.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
