Harold C. Ford, Sr., 71, formerly of Fairfield, PA died Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Gardners, PA.
He was born October 22, 1944 in Sandy Springs, MD the son of the late Amon W. and Dorothy Tyler Ford.
He for was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life in construction retiring from J & W Caulking. During his retirement he worked part-time for Keneco Exxon Oil. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and muscle cars.
He is survived by three children; Deborah Manzanares and her husband Ivan of Falling Waters, W.VA., Kimberly Stahley and her fiancée Milton Brunner of Gardners, PA, Harold C. Ford, Jr. and his wife Christina of Fairfield, PA, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, six brothers and sisters; Wallace Ford, Kevin Ford, Ricky Aebersold, Joyce McCarson, Janet Utermoehlen, Betty Johnson. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Knight, and a brother, Robert Ford.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Gettysburg Baptist Church, Hunterstown Road, Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bill Mummert officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
