
Obituary for Deborah Ann Cole
Deborah Ann Cole, 51 of Alexandria, VA formerly of Gettysburg, PA died suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home.
Born in Chambersburg, PA on December 4, 1965, she was the daughter of Edwin M. & Janet M. (Sell) Cole of Gettysburg, PA.
Deborah was a 1983 graduate of Gettysburg High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1987. She was employed by the National Photography Center in Washington, DC before going to work for the Central Intelligence Agency as an analyst in the counter terrorism unit. Deborah accepted early medical retirement from the agency. She was an avid reader, enjoyed participating in reenactments both civil war and the renaissance.
In addition to her parents, Deborah is survived by her brother, Dr. Jeffrey A. Cole and wife Susan, of Gettysburg, her two nephews; Tyler J. and Alexander M. Cole of Gettysburg and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 45 East High St., Gettysburg, PA with Fr. Daniel Mitzel, Celebrant. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
