
Obituary for Patricia "Patty" Campbell
Patricia W. “Patty” Campbell, age 87 of Gettysburg, PA passed away at the Gettysburg Hospital on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Russell A. Campbell, Jr. Born in Laurel, DE on May 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. & Bernice L. (Lowe) Winter.
Mrs. Campbell was a 1949 graduate of Gettysburg High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hood College in 1953. Following her college graduation, she was employed by Gettysburg College for several years. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gettysburg and had served as a Sunday School Teacher at the church for a number of years. She was a member of the Gettysburg Hospital Auxiliary, Gettysburg Hospital Bridge Club and had served as a Den Mother for a local scout troop.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two grandsons; Andrew Campbell and wife Kristy of Wilmington, DE and Benjamin Campbell and wife Danielle of Wayne, New Jersey and her daughter-in-law, Regina R. Campbell of York, PA. Mrs. Campbell was predeceased by her son, Bradford Winter Campbell and her brother, Thomas J. “Jack” Winter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church, 30 Chambersburg St., Gettysburg with her Pastor, Rev. Stephen Herr, officiating. A private interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at a reception.
