Obituary for Mildred Louise Musselman
Mildred Louise Musselman, 95, Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home.
She was born January 25, 1923 in Mechanicsburg, PA the daughter of the late Earl and Anna Shopp Musselman. Her husband, Arthur Batterman Musselman died in 1985.
Mrs. Musselman was a 1942 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. For 37 years she and her husband farmed on their family farm in Adams County. In 1988, after her husband’s death, she went to work at the Adams County Conservation District until her retirement at age 85. She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church where she served as Director of Music and Worship, Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Worship Leader and served in the Church Council. Mildred enjoyed gardening, traveling, being with her family, and her involvement with music at her church.
Mrs. Musselman is survived by four children; Carolyn E. Sell and her husband Donald of Laguna Woods, CA, Joanne L. Musselman and her husband John C. Constance of Boiling Springs, PA, Audrey L. Rapp of New Hope, PA, Larry A. Musselman and his companion Lois A. Edwards of Gettysburg, PA, three grandchildren; Alyssa Rapp of Staten Island, NY, Steven Sell of Studio City, CA, Diane Ottens of Mission Viejo, CA, three great grandchildren; Jake Ottens, Ryann Ottens, Logan Ottens, two sisters; Marian Kipp of Greencastle, PA, Helen Kaljulaid of West Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Kauffman Sterner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Bethel Mennonite Church with Rev. Robert Murr officiating. Interment will be in Mummasburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg on Tuesday evening, July 17th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gettysburg Conservation District, 670 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 or Bethel Mennonite Church, 2335 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
