Obituary for Arline E. Bream
Arline E. Bream, 103, of Gettysburg, PA died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Gettysburg, PA.
Born in February of 1915 in Lancaster County, PA she was the daughter of the late Banks E. and Elizabeth (Musselman) Benner. She was the wife of the late Kenneth D. Bream who died in 1996.
Mrs. Bream was a member of Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church, Gettysburg, PA. She was a 1932 graduate of Fairfield High School. She was employed by the Gettysburg Shoe Company for a number of years and before her retirement also worked at the Jack and Jill Shop and the Book Mart. After retiring she volunteered with the Red Cross as well as the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village.
Arline is survived by her three children, Jay H. Bream, of Ft. Loudon, PA, John B. Bream, of Hagerstown, MD, Robert L. Bream, of Gettysburg, PA, six grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her sister, Mabert Anderson, of Gettysburg, PA, and sister-in-law, Peggy Benner, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Frederick K. Bream, her two brothers Lloyd E. Benner and John David Benner.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service Monday afternoon at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
