Obituary for Mary Jane Kump
: Mary Jane Kump, age 84, of Orrtanna, PA passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Colonial Manor Nursing Center in York, PA after a long illness.
Born April 5, 1934 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert & Susan (McKenrick) Clapsadle. Mrs. Kump was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Buchanan Valley. She had worked for the United States Postal Service for a number of years at the Cashtown Post Office and had operated Kump’s Fruit Farm in Orrtanna, PA for many years. Mrs. Kump is survived by her three children; Anna K. Bailey of Dillsburg, PA, William A. “Bill” Kump, Jr. of Orrtanna and Dennis J. Kump of Aspers, PA, two granddaughters; Jennifer Kump and Jane Marie Hardy and a sister, Martha Louise Clapsadle of Gettysburg, PA. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Mary Ann Bailey and two brothers; Thomas A. Clapsadle, Sr. and Joseph McKenrick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA with Rev. Dominic M. DiBiccaro, Celebrant. Interment in will be in the church cemetery immediately following the Mass. A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service for the deceased at 6:30 p.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg.
