Obituary for Roy D. Harbaugh
Roy D. Harbaugh, 77, of Fairfield, PA died Friday afternoon, February 19, 2016 at his home.
Born January 24, 1939 in Charmain, PA he was the son of the late Zolan and Evelyn (Baker) Harbaugh. He was the husband of Charity V. (Bobo) Harbaugh, of Fairfield to whom he was married to for 57 years.
Mr. Harbaugh worked at Shaffer's Sawmill, as well as the Frick Company. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportman’s Club and the Fairfield Amvets. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, mowing the yard and Christian music.
In addition to his wife Roy is survived by his five children, Cindy L. Asper, Roy David Harbaugh, Jr., Terry Lee Harbaugh, Gary Eugene Harbaugh, Linda Sue Harbaugh, three grandchildren, Tanya Lee Cook, James Marshall Trent, Brittanie Marie Woodward, three great grandchildren, Tyra Leanne Cook, Lee Harrison Cook, III, Natalie Sage Trent, and five siblings, Mary Foreman, William Harbaugh, Linda Hoskins, Kenneth Harbaugh, and Janet Bynaker. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Harbaugh and Darlene Myers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA with Rev. Douglas Lichty officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
